Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra workshops will be offered virtually through Zoom.

To register please visit Virtual Classes Registration

Yoga Nidra will be offered once per month (75 min). Each workshop will have a unique theme and intention linked with the month and the season changes.

Yoga Nidra is also known as Yogic Sleep. It is a guided sleep based meditation practice that is performed on Savasana-Corpse Pose (lying on your back supported by pillows and/or blankets) and involves little or no physical activity.  Of all the meditation techniques available, Yoga Nidra may well be one of the most accessible and powerful techniques for individuals of all levels of experience. In Yoga Nidra we use the physiological processes of the body and specific techniques to induce a deep state of relaxation, an effortless meditative state. In this state we turn off the conscious mind and allow the subconscious mind to be open, receptive and suggestible. We then insert a “Sankalpa or Intention” to influence and change patterns of thought or ways of behavior to improve your life and your relationship with the world around you. Yoga Nidra is a practice of self awareness and transformation; and an incredible way to help your body recover from any physical, mental or emotional turmoil found in life, as well as alleviating symptoms like fatigue, stress, anxiety and insomnia while improving mood and sleep cycles.  Yoga Nidra, a gift to yourself!

Wear comfortable clothing. Avoid eating a heavy meal within an hour of the practice.

Fees:
$25 per person
$40 for 2 participants; $15 per additional participant Family Discount (participants must be in the same household and take class at the same time)

Registration and payment must be received by 6:00PM the day before the workshop. You will receive the confirmation link at 5:30PM on the day of the workshop. Please read registration procedures VIRTUAL CLASES REGISTRATION

Yoga Nidra will be offered the first Thursday of the month at 7pm (75 min). Each workshop will have a unique theme and intention linked with the month and the season changes.

Upcoming Yoga Nidra workshops:

Thursday April 7th, 2021 ~ Self acceptance

In the Roman calendar, the fourth month April is spelled Aprilis, meaning "to open." In this workshop we will use Yoga Nidra to open our minds and hearts with a sincere sense of self-acceptance. Taking down confining barriers to make your inside feelings and thoughts congruent with your outside behavior to create a shift that will promote a more balanced, calmer and assertive you.

Pranayama Workshop

Pranayama  ~ Unlocking the Power of your Breath to change your experience of Life~

Pranayama, or yogic breath is commonly known as breath control techniques. However, Pranayama is more than just breathing techniques. Pranayama is one of the most powerful tools to use the body as a vehicle for taming the mind and tapping transcendent states of balance and integration. Pranayama then becomes the process by which regulating the breath, prana (life force energy in the body) is increased and channeled.

The ancient masters specifically developed the practice of Pranayama to balance the emotions, clarify the mental processes and ultimately to integrate them into one effectively functioning whole. The yogis tell us, control the flow of prana in the body and the mind will still itself automatically, self-realization will unfold naturally.

In this workshop you will learn what Pranayama is and the importance of integrating it into your Yoga practice and daily routines. When breath and asana come together you can experience a sense of balance, steadiness and wholeness.  You will also learn breathing techniques to help you improve body awareness, sleep cycles and energy levels while reducing the negative physical, mental and emotional effect of stress.

“Routine stress may contribute to serious health problems, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and other illnesses, as well as mental disorders like depression or anxiety” *

This 2-hour workshop will include an asana practice (physical practice) for you to explore the techniques learned during the lecture.  We will conclude with a restoring guided meditation practice.

Join us and learn to unlock the power of your breath to achieve a more balanced, integrated and joyful You!
