Virtual classes arose out of a necessity of staying active during the COVID quarantine of 2020. While many missed going to the gym and socializing, many also realized all the benefits that exercising from home afforded them. Less time spent in the car driving in traffic, lowered cost of gasoline and unused gym memberships, the ability to join class from any location and at a time that was most convenient, higher accountability of personal workout time and an overall increased appreciation of the time gained to devote to other activities.
Since March of 2020 Abril Istre has offered more than just fitness classes. The VIDA I AM curriculum included the “30 days to a Healthier You” program, weekly Yoga Nidra workshops and Self-growth workshops specialized in Ayurveda* and Pranayama**.
During the Holiday season of 2020 the VIDA I AM group came together to help a local family in need and through their donations raised $1,250. It was an incredible experience and one they hope to continue every year!
In March of 2021 Abril started the VIDA I AM Book club that recently met in person to discuss a second book over a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. They will meet again early in the Fall.
In late July Abril taught “Yoga at the Park” in support of the Potter Baseball Tour benefiting CureSearch for Children’s Cancer. It was an honor to be a part of this amazing event.
VIDA I AM has been offering corporate classes and private events, as well as conducting Private sessions for those looking for a personal instruction to meet their needs.
Regardless of what location participants join VIDA I AM, they have created a unique circle of support, motivation and friendship, an inclusive culture for anyone interested in self-growth.
VIDA I AM offered an answer during uncertain times and now continues to offer the same services for those interested in maximizing their personal time while cultivating meaningful relationships and continuing to take care of their bodies and mind.
Summer of 2021 here we come!
